Derek Mahan

Tutoring since 2013, Derek has supported countless students through the college readiness testing process. Derek tutors all sections of the ACT and SAT. Derek started his private tutoring practice in late 2018 after several years of working for a boutique Chicago tutoring agency.

Mike Podhaizer

Tutoring for over a decade, Mike began his tutoring career as an academic tutor, supporting students in math and physics. Mike has since expanded his tutoring expertise to standardized test preparation. Mike tutors math, physics, and all sections of the ACT and SAT.

Lilly Bernet

A recent graduate of NYU and a former student of Derek’s, Lilly supports Derek Mahan Tutoring as our testing administrator, proctoring all in-office practice tests and ensuring students have a mock testing environment similar to the official testing environment for ACT and SAT.
